The Ways We Worship:

The Fellowship of the Believers

42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

This verse has been the motivating force for the we worship. Everything we do is about building relationship with Jesus and each other. Every Sunday we come together for fellowship, food and worship. We meet at 4pm and cook together. We share stories and the things that are going on in our lives. Each family brings a dish to be shared and each family rotates bringing main dish. When the food is all prepared which is usually around 5pm we sit down and eat family style, and continue sharing and doing life together. After we eat we read scripture together and engage each other with the words of Christ. We have open discussions about the text and Pastor Martin brings a word and asks engaging questions to make the community think and respond. We sing songs and pray together. And on every 4th Sunday we practice the Lord’s Supper.

We share and do life together. We create safe space to give people the openness to share where they are and what’s going on with them without fear of judgement. We want to wrestle with the brokenness of each other and humanity, because we are called to love each other in such a way that the whole world knows that we belong to Christ by the way we love each other.

Our church is completely community space. We grow vegetables in our backyard that are free for the taking, we have office space for people to study or do work. We host meetings of all sorts and Pastor Martin even runs a gym to help people get in physical shape.

Our Mission

We seek to live life in the kingdom by loving God, loving others, and inviting others to do the same by creating a sacred space where people are welcome and safe to meet Jesus face to face as we do life together.

Our Vision

We are a good news centered 24/7 community who knows that brokenness doesn't keep business hours. We live and love like Jesus, leaving behind people who will do the same.

Our Future

We are dreaming of building a community center-a place where community functions can happen and kids can have a place to go and enjoy themselves.

The Saturday before Easter we host an egg hunt for the community. We take over the local park and hide eggs on different fields for kids of all ages. We stagger launch times for each age group so that parents with multiple kids can watch them all run out onto the field and find eggs. We have had upwards of 7500 eggs hundreds of kids. We partner with different groups to stuff eggs and put on the event. We have people singing songs to the Lord and promote our Sunday Morning Sonrise service. Where we worship our risen king at the same park at sunrise.

Trunk or Treat

Every year at Halloween we host a Trunk or Treat event right in the neighborhood. All of our neighbors come out and participate in what has become an anticipated and high point in the life of our community here in Weston Ranch.  This is a time when we get to celebrate being a part of the community, and participate with neighbors in providing a positive moment in the life of our community.

Christmas Eve

We host a midnight service and provide a time to reflect on the advent season.  And how we have seen and continue to see the way God continually enters in to our lives and our community.
