Girls Everywhere Meeting Their Savior
Our 2015-16 theme, Choose Truth, is based on Psalm 119:105:
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
Life is full of choices, and when we know what God’s Word says, we’ll be better able to choose what is good and pleasing to Him. His story lights the way for our story, giving clarity to our lives with Christ.
GEMS Girls' Clubs is all about—well—girls!
Our GEMS Club is for all girls ages 3rd – 8th grades and meets every 1st and 3rd Monday each month from 6:30 – 8:30pm.
We invite all girls who want to actively and enthusiastically express their love for God and others - girls equipped, motivated, and passionately engaged in living out their faiths. We look to bring girls from our church and community into a living, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Club offers them the perfect place to learn and grow as they discover who God created them to be.
During our club meetings, we have Bible studies, worship, badge work, service projects, crafts, games, and other fun activities created to teach the truth of God's Word that is found in the theme. Our club girls are welcomed into a vibrant community of mentors and peers who genuinely care about them. Each GEM in our club is invited into a small group of girls their same age with one leader.
To kick off each year, we begin with our Kickoff BBQ party! Girls get together to meet and greet new girls joining GEMS, meet their GEMS leaders for the year, and enjoy food, fellowship, fun, and a splash! Along with our regular meetings, we offer a wide variety of other club activities:
- Theme Night event/sleepover
- Christmas Party and caroling
- Snow Outing
- Father (or other significant man in our life)/Daughter Night
- GEMS Camp for 5th to 8th graders
- Ladies' Tea
Our GEMS Club is affiliated with, resourced by, and follows the standards of its parent organization, the GEMS Girls' Club. There are over 900 clubs in North America in Christian Reformed, Presbyterian, Reformed and other like-minded churches. More information about this parent organization may be found at www.gemsgc.org.
