Good News Club
Good News Club is a program dedicated to seeing every child reached with the gospel, discipled, and connected to a local church with a weekly Bible class and thirty minutes of homework assistance. This is available to any student, whether they attend the Good News class or not.
The teachers are Christian volunteers, each of whom has over twenty years of professional experience teaching in the elementary grades at local schools. They have additional training by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), a non-denominational, Bible-centered ministry serving in over 145 countries world-wide. They tell Bible stories and stress Biblical values such as honesty, integrity, respect, and love.
Any child in grades 1-5 is welcome to attend. Whether or not your family attends church, your children are invited to attend these classes. These classes are non-denominational. Your children will enjoy hearing and seeing visualized Bible stories, singing, and reviewing with games. They will also be given a small snack at the end of each class.
The classes are at Almond Valley CRC and are held for six weeks whenever school is in session and there is early release. Classes begin at 2:15pm and are dismissed at 3:30pm. Homework help is offered from 3:30pm-4:00pm. Transportation will be available from each of the schools to the church, and the people driving will have had background screening.
